Raw data associated with the Prevention of Bacterial Infections in Newborn (PregnAnZI) study, a phase III, double-blind, randomized trial that sought to assess the effect of administering a single dose of oral azithromycin to women in labour on bacterial colonization of the neonate. The raw data supporting the findings of the study, as outlined in the accompanying BMC Infectious Diseases paper, are available upon request following ethical approval by the local ethics committee.
